"I could never thank you enough for allowing me to join you on this trip because it has been life-changing for how I view myself as a friend, a photographer, and a traveler. One of my biggest takeaways from this trip is becoming informed on the location I am going to. I think that the fact that I was educated about the environment, locations, and architecture made me extremely susceptible to building a connection to the place. "In short, not only did I learn how to operate my camera, but I fell in love with the art of photography. Before this trip I was frustrated and debating whether or not I really wanted to continue in my photography minor, but now I couldn’t be more excited. I think going on the Jackson Hole Photography Workshop before taking a photo class was the best possible thing for me because I was able to learn how I learn best, in the field. "During this whole week I would like to say I have a favorite moment or a specific thing that I think about daily now, but to be honest the entire trip was my favorite moment. I didn’t know I would have so much fun, meet new people that I loved so much, and get to have one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Each day my love for Wyoming and even photography grew.

"Prior to the trip, we read about the national parks in the area and the history surrounding them. We learned about the animals, ecosystem and environment, the history of Native Americans, and about the impact of humans and development on both animals and the environment. This knowledge was all very new to me and I think that it was important that we read it before going, as it gave us some insight.
