Winter is here, and that means frozen lakes and ponds! While they can offer plenty of fun activities, safety always comes first when venturing out on the ice.

📏 Recommended Ice Thickness for Activities:

3 inches or less: STAY OFF – It’s not safe!
4 inches: Safe for walking or ice fishing, skating.
5-6 inches: Safe for snowmobiles and ATVs.
8-12 inches: Safe for cars or light trucks.
12-15 inches: Safe for trucks.
