The Mount Dora Ice Cream Stroll & Pup Walk by the Mount Dora Area Chamber returns Sunday from 2–4 PM, with 29 stops, 27 sweet samples, and plenty of treats for pups along the way.

And that’s just one part of the weekend.

🎃 SCARE AWAY HUNGER! 👻🥫

This Halloween, we’re teaming up with Vedder Roofing for a little spooky fun with a BIG purpose! 🧡 Join the Halloween Costume Contest & Food Drive and help support Lake Cares Food Pantry and local families in need.

👻 Dress Up: Put on your best costume, snap a photo in front of your local business sign, and post it to the Facebook event page to enter!

🥫 Bring Food: Drop off canned food donations at Vedder Roofing, 4301 W. Old US Hwy 441, Mount Dora, Monday–Friday from 8 AM–3 PM through October 29.

💰 50/50 Entry Donation: Businesses can participate with a $100 donation, with proceeds benefiting Lake Cares Food Pantry.

📅 Costume submissions are open October 1–23, online judging takes place October 25–29, and the winners will be announced October 30!

We are nothing at Mount Dora Ghost Tours if not storytellers.

The importance of good storytelling to encourage passion for reading, learning and thereby curiosity and dreams in children cannot be understated.

Author Yogi Mueller’s new children’s book “Little Sheet and the Halloween Party” is a beautiful example of engaging & inspired storytelling for children.

And it’s on our favorite subject too… GHOSTS!

Come join us at the “Lil Sheet Launch Party.”

Did you know that a really good friend of ours, Yogi Mueller, wrote a book? Actually, he’s written several, but this one is especially fun because it’s for children!

We’re so excited to host his book launch and book signing this Tuesday evening at Café Gianni.

If you’re into Halloween and children’s literature, be sure to stop by, meet the author, and celebrate this wonderful new book with us. Plus, have a little fun with some spooky local lore with Mount Dora Ghost Tours.
