This is it, the peak of the tourist season. After July 4, each weekend sees less and less activity.
Many saved for months to take the family to Mount Gretna for a long weekend trip or yearly family vacation. Kids are looking online at pictures. Dad and Mom are counting every penny to show the everyone a good time. They bring grandma and grandpa, cousins, uncles or aunts, and friends.
They may not fully appreciate the history of Mount Gretna on the first visit, but we hope they enjoy a comfortable stay, encounter only friendly neighbors, do lots of exploring, and return home safely with a few stories, tons of memories, and a newfangled love for Mount Gretna they will pass along to their children one day.
