Then you realize you’ve been walking down Main Street for ten minutes and haven’t looked at your phone once (except to take pictures of trolls, obviously).

That’s Mount Horeb. Troll Capital of the World, and yes, we take that very seriously. 😏

Wisconsin has a lot of treasures, and one of our favorites is hiding right under the hills near Mount Horeb. ✨🧌

Cave of the Mounds has a way of surprising everyone who visits. First-timers walk in curious and walk out saying "okay, WOW." Longtime locals keep coming back because there's always something new to notice. And if you've got guests in town, it's an easy way to show off what makes our corner of the state so special. Just a short drive from the Troll Capital of the World!

And the fun keeps rolling all year long! 🎉 Right now it's HOLLOWeen season, with sugar-free rock collecting on every tour all October. Grown-ups can get in on the spooky fun at Brave the Cave on Oct 24, a costume-friendly reggae night with DJ Kayla Kush. 🎃 Later this year, the cave gets all dressed up in twinkling lights for Cave of Lights. 🎄

Here's the best part: when you pop back up, Mount Horeb is waiting! 🧌 Grab a bite from one of our local restaurants, browse the shops downtown, and say hi to a few trolls along the way. Our community is full of friendly faces, and we can't wait to welcome your crew.

Pumpkin patch, corn maze, c***r donut. That's the whole fall checklist right there 🍂

Sutter's Ridge Farm is our pick if you're starting close to home... family-run, six acres of U-pick pumpkins, a corn maze, pedal go-karts, and an apple orchard on top of it. Relaxed, easygoing, exactly what a fall Saturday should feel like!

Two of the best fall color spots in southern Wisconsin, and both are practically in our backyard. 🍂

Brigham County Park... sweeping views of the Wisconsin River Valley, and on a clear day you can see the Baraboo Hills 35 miles out.

Blue Mound State Park... climb the East or West Observation Tower for the highest point in southern Wisconsin, and sunset up there this time of year? Unreal.

Grab a thermos, bring the camera, and make a whole day of it. Both spots are just outside town, so swing through Main Street for coffee, shopping, and a troll or two before you hit the road 🧌

🧹 Witches Night Out is almost here! 🧹

Mark your calendars for Thursday, October 15th, because we're getting our witch on and we want YOU there!

Here's what's new this year:

📌 Collect the pin! Every ticket holder gets this year's design, the first in an annual series to build on your witch hat or cape. Pick yours up at the Welcome Center, and grab a Good Witch or Bad Witch pin too if you're feeling both.

🎟️ Digital tickets! Yours lands Thursday during the day, so you can skip the Welcome Center stop and start the fun right away. Come anytime!

🔮 Tarot at Spellerific! Get this one on your list early. The cards are waiting!

🪟 Spot the window clings! Look for them at businesses all over town. Keep your eyes peeled for brooms, and scope out the costume contest while you're at it!

Witches Night Out is coming back to Mount Horeb, and yes, it's exactly as fun as it sounds. Costumes encouraged. Broomsticks optional (but highly recommended). 🧹
