I believe in growth vs. perfection and I feel my clients appreciate that as well as look forward to a unique experience each time we work together. Life is not about a perfect frame, and I have always strived to shine light on the beauty of imperfection and realness in a couple, a family and their children. I'm so thankful that I was raised by parents who shared a love of the arts & film and have supported me through this journey, as well as my husband and our babies, as well as his family! I have a bachelors degree in Public Relations from CSUS {Sac State}, and that has helped me as I ventured into creating this business. I believe it's important as a photographer, to not only admire life and other peoples' journeys, but also be able to communicate yourself, your vision and what your business has to offer others. I have also been supportive of others {Photographers, artists, business owners} around me, because to me, community matters. H u n t e r s • M o o n 🌕

Gratitude for all the lessons, the journey, the light and the future chapters to come. ✨

I’ve been obsessed with photography since I was seven. I remember the first time my dad handed me a camera and the rest was history. I love that it has relentlessly provided me a creative outlet throughout my life. Many blessings have come from me holding this little gem 📸. Between all the weddings, new life, celebrations and even life celebrations I’ve had the honor of capturing, nature has always grounded me. The true beauty God has created, I couldn’t even fathom questioning.

The moon is my favorite reminder of that.

For anyone curious, I took this shot this morning around 6:30am central time. It turns out this is one of the best times to capture the moon because there is technically more light that can escape into your lense to get that more accurate shot. My NikonUSA got this with my 50mm / f/5.6, 1/100 sec, and ISO 100 ✨

Art can establish the palette of an entire room.

I photographed this floral arrangement in fall 2019 during the theme announcement, “Legacy” for the January 2020 Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville, where I participated as a sponsor and captured content for the event. I’ve continued to support Antiques&GardenShow | Nashville over the years through photography, editorial coverage and content across multiple media platforms. Southern Charm // Nashville 01

When we moved to Nashville, I had just lost my last grandparent. My grandmother was a little like Dolly in her own way. She was born and raised on our family farm in the South that has now been in our family for five generations. She was deeply creative, an artist at heart, feminine, strong and incredibly rooted in where she came from.

So much of what Dolly sang about always felt familiar to me. Her words sounded like home because, in many ways, they echoed the women who raised me.

Both of my grandmothers along with my mama are at the root of so much of what I’ve built. They believed in my dreams before they were businesses or plans or anything that made sense on paper. They encouraged the creativity, the independence and the belief that you could make something from very little if you were willing to work for it.

I took this photo at the height of COVID, inside a room at a Nashville wedding venue. This room was devoted to Dolly. At the time, I was quite literally living the words written on the wall:

“We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails.”

So many of us were. Everything stopped, and those of us who had built businesses had to figure out how to keep moving when the path in front of us suddenly disappeared.

Dolly never seemed to believe she had to trade her femininity for strength or success. She could be soft, sentimental, glamorous and completely feminine while also being a brilliant businesswoman who knew the value of what she created. She also knew when something simply wasn’t for sale.

Dolly wasn’t only a legend in music. Somehow, she felt personal to so many people. She jumped off the pages, through the lyrics and beyond the stage and reminded us of home, of where we came from, and of the people who believed in us first.

There will never be another Dolly. 💖

The places worth investing in tend to have something in common: intention.

Beyond the memory is the opportunity to experience exceptional design firsthand, the details, the atmosphere and the decisions that separate something beautiful from something truly luxurious.

The Lodge at Gulf State Park The Lodge at Gulf State Park is a perfect example. From the openness of the architecture and natural textures to the uninterrupted Gulf views, the surroundings become part of the design. It feels elevated without being overdone, and worlds away from the energy of a typical beach destination. While minutes from restaurants and activities, everything you would need to make the perfect beach memories is right at your fingertips without having to leave the property. Private Beach access, state of the art pool, restaurants and even live music and board games in the lobby.

True luxury is often less about adding more and more about knowing exactly what belongs to create timeless memories that last a lifetime.

Details matter just as much as the big picture. I’ve always found myself somewhere in between. Close enough to notice what matters, but far enough back to see how it all comes together.

I love looking back at the hundreds of weddings I’ve photographed over the years. It was always both, from the small details, the lace on a dress, the light, the setting, the energy of the entire day. To the scenery especially with destination weddings, my job was to see and capture all of it.

Wedding photography taught me so much more than I realized in the moment. There’s something about learning to hold the smallest detail and the entire vision at the same time that translates into almost anything you build.

I’ve always been a little obsessed with light. It’s probably the one thing that has influenced my work more than anything else.

As a photographer, I obsess over it, I look for it everywhere, how it falls across a room, changes a landscape, catches texture or makes an ordinary moment feel completely different.

That instinct has followed me into everything I create. Photography, stories, art, interiors, even the colors and materials I’m drawn to. I love softness, shadow, texture and imperfection, and the way light brings all of it to life. ✨

Charleston has always understood that the details matter. In 1931, it became the first city in the United States to establish a historic district, preserving not just buildings, but the craftsmanship and character that make them worth remembering. To this day it remains the largest historic district in the country and the western hemisphere, 2nd largest in the world next to Rome. 🍷

The weathered doors, worn brick, layers of paint and beautiful imperfections are part of the art. Because without texture, there is no depth, and without imperfection, there is no story.

Maybe that’s the secret to timeless design, not making everything perfect, but knowing which imperfections are worth preserving.

There are certain landscapes that become part of you.

For me, it’s the endless rows of orange trees stretching across California, the scent of citrus in the air, and the quiet country roads and the sound of the river near my grandparents’ house where some of my favorite memories were made.

No matter how many beautiful places I travel, nothing quite compares to coming home to this.

Some places don’t just shape where you’re from. They shape how you see the world. 🍊

Why is this so aesthetically pleasing? 💛

My favorite thing about living here is watching so many California based brands find refuge in the south right now.

When you walk into a place of business, take note how you feel. Branding is the most intentional aspect of your business. If you aren’t moving people, it’s time to go back to the drawing board.
