Yesterday we visited Nassau. We decided to do the Blue Lagoon Beach Day- this is the second time we’ve done this excursion. But since we first tried it in January and it was quite cool and we wanted to get to experience it again in the warm weather.
The beaches here are beautiful and the water even more so. You have to take a boat to the island, it’s about a 30 minute scenic ride. Lunch was included and we could use any of the beaches, chairs and umbrellas.
We spent most of the time in the water -swimming, snorkeling, and floating along the lagoon- it wraps around the beach a bit and the current that comes in naturally moves you along.
Our return boat back was running quite late and we missed our all aboard time by about 15 minutes. Luckily, because our excursion was through the cruise line the tour was in contact with them and the ship waited for everyone to return. This is only because it was an excursion through the cruise line. Had we been on our own, the ship would not have waited 😳 (this goes for all cruise lines) which is why I do recommend purchasing your excursions through the cruise line offerings.
It was white night back on the ship so everyone dressed up for that which was fun. We have the second dinner seating (7:15) which we are really enjoying. It’s giving us more time to explore and we don’t feel as rushed trying to get ready.
On our way to the show we saw multiple musicians throughout the ship. Our favorite was the dueling pianos in Times Square. The main theater show was a comedian- she was hilarious and family friendly (mostly) 😆 Late night entertainment was the white out deck party with music and dancing.
It was a great day all around!
Today we are at sea as we head to Jamaica. We’re looking forward to a more laid relaxed day of exploring the ship after these two fun-filled beach days. 🚢
