If you visit the cemetery at St. John's Lutheran Church, you may notice this row of oddly spaced stones. In about 1965 Amanda Krimminger Miller, fearing that the headstones at a small family cemetery would be lost to farming or development, "rescued" these stones and moved them to St. John's. An elementary school teacher, ECHS member, and lover of history, Miller died in 1993 at the age of 103.
