Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum

Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum Honoring Kentucky's rich musical heritage with interactive exhibits, music memorabilia, live music, and gift shop. Come visit us in Mt.
(223)

The Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum opened in 2002 with a vision to bring recognition to Kentuckians who have made a significant contribution to the music industry. With that vision in mind, a collection of artifacts and memorabilia highlighting the careers of the over 70 inductees fill the museum. You can also learn the history of music dating back to the 1800’s. A common misconception is

that the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame focuses mainly on country and bluegrass related artist, however there are inductees from all genres of music as including Sturgill Simpson, The Backstreet Boys, Loretta Lynn, Florence Henderson, Rosemary Clooney, Keith Whitley, Boots Randolph, and so many more. The entrance to the building is unique to any other museum and is historical as it was once the sight of the original riding stables of Renfro Valley founder, John Lee Lair. That portion of the building now houses the visitor center and a must-see gift shop with new products and souvenirs. Most of the original structure of the stable is still intact and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Behind the museum is an amphitheater where we host the Kentucky Blues Music Festival and other outdoor music events. Vernon, Kentucky, off Exit 62 on I-75 next to Renfro Valley Entertainment Center. We’re less than a week and a half out from Emily Jamerson and her hot band opening up the section at Laurel Cove Music Festival and I don’t know about y’all, but I can’t freakin’ wait! 💙💙💙

Here’s a flashback to Jamerson serenading a crowd at the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum a few weeks ago with her cheeky and empowering original “Dried Paint”, which will celebrate two years since dropping as her first single this coming Sunday

The Master Musicians Festival Open Mic Series continues Wednesday, and we’re excited to partner with the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum for a special night of music, connection, and community.

To help keep things organized and make sure artists don’t travel in without knowing if they have a spot, there will be an online sign-up process for Wednesday’s open mic.

Here’s how it will work:
📝 Online sign-ups open at 10 AM Eastern on Wednesday
• We will post a sign-up form link on our page at 10 AM
• All sign-ups must be submitted through the online form (we will not be doing in-person signups this month)
• The first 20 people to complete the form will secure a performance spot

📣 At NOON, we will announce the first 20 performers who signed up and post the list publicly so everyone knows who is playing before heading out.
