🦌 Hunters helping local families!

The Johnson County Meat Processing Center is partnering with the Selfless Sportsman Association to give hunters an opportunity to donate deer at no cost. Donated venison will be processed and distributed to help feed families in our local communities.

The Meat Processing Center is now open at 694 Pedro Shoun Road in Mountain City. Regular hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with extended hours available during deer season as needed.

The 2nd District Volunteer Fire Department is firing up the BBQ for a community fundraiser!

📅 Friday, October 2
⏰ Starting at 11:00 AM
📍 4243 Hwy 421 South, Mountain City

Choose BBQ pork or chicken with baked beans, slaw, roll, dessert & drink.

💲 Adults – $15 | Children – $7

Grab lunch, enjoy some good BBQ, and help support the volunteers who are there when our community needs them. All donations go directly toward supporting our community.

Fall is almost here in Northeast Tennessee! 🍂

Before long, our mountains will trade their summer greens for those breathtaking shades of red, orange, gold, and yellow that make this one of the most beautiful times of year in Johnson County.

Now is the perfect time to start making plans! Invite your friends and family, take a scenic drive, explore our mountain roads, and enjoy everything fall in Northeast Tennessee has to offer. ❤️🧡💛

🍂 When to catch the colors: Higher elevations often begin changing in late September to early October, with some of our best color typically arriving mid-to-late October. Lower elevations can stay colorful into early November, depending on the weather.

Big announcement!

OPEN HOUSE

Attention engaged couples!

Put this on your calendar. November 21st from 3pm - 7pm and take a tour, as we will be displaying a Christmas Wedding! Talk to various vendors, food trucks, photo opportunities and more!

All public is welcomed, if haven't been to the farm yet, this will be the time to see it. If your not getting married, then its time to book your party, birthday, graduation party, baby shower, etc. for 2027-2028.

🦌 Deer are on the move throughout Johnson County, so please stay alert and watch carefully—especially when traveling in the early morning and evening hours.

These beautiful animals share our mountains, yards, and roadways. Slow down, stay watchful, and help keep both our neighbors and wildlife safe.

☕🌄 **Good morning from Johnson County!**

There’s something hard to beat about an early morning in the mountains — a beautiful sunrise, a hot cup of coffee, and a little front porch sitting before the day gets going. ❤️
