As Wisconsin's only Actor’s Equity dinner theatre, operated by the Klopcic family since 1964, the Fireside Theatre offers exceptional performances; time to explore their unique gift shops; we will enjoy an elaborate and delicious meal, and opportunity to purchase scrumptious, freshly made items at their bakery.

I saw COME FROM AWAY on Broadway, and it is truly fabulous! This exhilarating, Tony Award-winning musical is based on the remarkable true story of September 11, 2001, when 38 planes carrying 7,000 passengers were diverted to the small town of Gander, Newfoundland. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the residents of Gander welcomed the stranded travelers with open arms.

Departure: Libertyville at 8:15 a.m. / Wauconda at 8:45 a.m.

Approximate Return: Wauconda at 5:45 p.m. / Libertyville at 6:30 p.m.

Included: Theatre ticket, delicious lunch, Deluxe Motor Coach transportation (with onboard washroom), all taxes, fees, and tips for the driver and waitstaff.

Day Eight - Athabasca Glacier & Peyto Lake

This day, we traveled along the legendary Icefields Parkway, one of the most spectacular mountain routes in the world. Stunning stops along the way included:

Crowfoot Glacier, the turquoise waters of Bow Lake, and the brilliant blue Peyto Lake.
Our adventure peaked with a thrilling ride on the Ice Explorer, taking us onto the ancient
Athabasca Glacier for an unforgettable walk on ice. We ended this incredible day with a ride up Sulphur Mountain by gondola and a farewell
dinner overlooking the majestic Rockies—a perfect finale to an extraordinary adventure.

Day Six - Village of Lake Louise

This day’s adventure took us on a journey westward, following the peaceful Bow River to the enchanting Village of Lake Louise, arriving at the crown jewel of the Canadian Rockies—Lake Louise.

We visited the iconic Chateau Lake Louise,
and enjoyed a wonderful lunch with incredible views. Next, we continue into the wild beauty
of Yoho National Park. This hidden gem offers beautiful natural wonders, including the
vivid blue-green waters of Emerald Lake and the mighty Natural Bridge. At the end of the day, we returned to Banff, for an evening to unwind or discover more of this charming mountain town.

Nothing but majestic scenery as we reboard the Rocky Mountaineer for another unforgettable day of rail travel through Canada’s most breathtaking landscapes. We traveled along the tranquil South Thompson River and the shimmering Shuswap Lakes. A true highlight awaited us as we ascended through the legendary Spiral Tunnels, a marvel of engineering designed to conquer the steep slopes of Kicking Horse Pass.

Emerging into Alberta and Banff National Park, the train followed the serene Bow River past the picturesque Village of Lake Louise before arriving in the iconic mountain town of Banff!

Day Four - Rocky Mountaineer Train / 1st Day

Our Tour group was excited as we prepared for a once-in-a-lifetime journey and boarded the world-renowned Rocky Mountaineer for a two-day rail adventure from Vancouver to Banff.

We traveled through the lush Fraser
River Valley, where rugged cliffs and towering peaks of the Coastal and Cascade Mountains create a dramatic backdrop. The scenery shifts from forested valleys to the sun-warmed
interior of British Columbia, following the Thompson River through striking terrain. By
late afternoon, we arrived in Kamloops and enjoyed a restful evening at the hotel before the nect day’s breathtaking journey deeper into the heart of the Canadian Rockies.

We were in luck that we really were not heavily affected by the wildfires throughout the tour and feel deeply for those who are affected.

Our group was happy to soak in the grace and grandeur of British Columbia’s capital city, Victoria. We had free time to explore the picturesque Inner Harbour, marvel at the striking Parliament Buildings, and admire the historic Fairmont Empress Hotel.

Parliament House is the meeting place of the Parliament of Victoria, one of the eight parliaments of the Australian states and territories.

Day Three - morning: Butchart Gardens

As we sailed across the Salish Sea, on the renowned BC Ferry, we took in stunning views of forested isles and watched for seals and eagles.

The iconic Butchart Gardens, features over fifty-five stunning acres of vibrant floral displays, themed gardens, and peaceful walking paths.

Started when Jennie Butchart turned an old limestone quarry into a grand landscape project. The famous Sunken Garden took nine years of heavy labor and soil hauling to complete. Butchart Hardens is designated as a National Historic Site of Canada during its centennial year in 2004.
