Henslee Park—Dickson, TN
It took me entirely too long to visit this park, but my goodness it did not disappoint!
This is an example of a playground done right! Accessible equipment, challenges for all ages, open space for running, astroturf for new walkers, and lots of shade.
I think the coolest part is how they’ve incorporated the splash pad into the same area as the playground…but I’m sure that makes for some super fast and super slick wet slides 😂

— It has shade but it’s still large enough to have hot areas
— No separation between splash pad and playground, so if you come during the summer, your toddler WILL get wet
