Good afternoon to our prospecting miners! Fall is upon us and looks like rain coming in today about every two hours! Looks like rain thru Saturday and that's a miner's dream for the Crater of Diamonds State Park! The weatherman was reporting a couple of showers and thunderstorms and all we hope is it passes over the Crater and cancels our No Burn post! We also hope it moves gravel, gems, and diamonds! Spring and Fall is our best time due to the weather!
Wishing everyone good luck and may your diamond dreams come true!

What a remarkable lesson! We usually don't see anyone on Sunday mornings for lessons because people are trying to get home for work and school! This one started before our first cup of coffee! Al and I had just got up as we overslept! The folks were so awesome as it took a little bit to get things cleared for a lesson while Shirley was chatting and keeping them busy till we got set up! Al had to lay back down due to his lungs, it takes a bit to get them going! We have to thank them for being so patient! Andy a Fireman Captain at one station and assistant chief at the other station! Erika was a home health nurse and helping the people out with their grown handicapped man because the people could not afford in-home care! Their children. Landon and Hayley were so excited about the mine, the lesson, and meeting, Shirley Strawn, of the Famous Diamond! The Strawn/Wagner diamond! The Huber's are from Ohio but already planning to come back! Wishing them all the luck in the ๐ŸŒŽ ! A big shout out to our mining buddy that sent them over!

Good morning to everyone. The thunder is upon us and rain is on its way! Hoping for enough to move gravel and diamonds! Al and I were talking and the questions that came to mind was...
Why do people rent screens and tools?
Why do people buy screens the first time when they are not sure they like to mine leaving them in storage till they grow dust?
We decided to give lessons, hands-on lessons and the best is, we decided to Lend the tools and found out we give you confidence in using your screens your tools, and finding your diamond! Then we show a diamond and let you work the Screens! Have a question? Give us a call 501 762-5465 or just send us a message after you check our site, Crater Diamond Classics!

Another historic moment at Stanley Jewelers Gemologist as Shirley Strawn dropped in to visit and the Strawn-Wagner diamond which she discovered in 1990. It's also the first of the diamonds from the Crater of Diamonds State Park graded by AGS Laboratories back in 1998!

Good morning and another remarkable lesson! I actually slept in today to 6:45 and was ready to start my day and a blue truck came by and was talking to Al, he was getting ready to go finish the stairs he was building for a friend of ours. Al comes in and tells me that we have a lesson so I said give me a minute I'll be dressed and ready! Diane and daughter Daniell, and brother Leo and puppy Sofie. Such delightful people and excited to go to the Crater of Diamonds State Park We are wishing them all the luck in the world ๐ŸŒ . We also wish everyone out there enjoys their time and has luck!

Good evening, an exciting weekend coming up! We are setting appointments for our new prospectors! Our lessons do consist of a bit of time! Just call 501 762-5465, and $15 per adult and children are free. We lend our tools and give you the confidence in flipping and knowing a diamond when you see it! We put a small diamond in the screens you work in the lesson and if it is done as we show it is there 100% of the time the diamond is found! Sometimes it is forgotten, diamonds don't like to be found! You can also check us out on Crater Diamond Classics!
We also had a nice rain everything was baked due to the heat and really hope the rain helps the prospectors! Good luck to all working in this heat!

This sweet couple came by for a lesson! Right before the rain and asked how to sign up for a lesson told them to come over we will get you taught and back out to the field! It was cute as we explained a few things and come to find out what we told them don't do was what they did! But as we told them we did the same thing when we started a long time ago! The rain started to come down and we got them out quick also said if you are out there when it rains watch how the gravel travels! The two were so excited to go and do what they learned! As long as we have takers we will always give lessons including Sundays! Good luck to all out there searching for their diamond!

Good morning! Looks like rain in the forecast! Just what we need to soften the ground so we can get to the gravel, which is baked in the dirt and crust of the Crater! The rain can wash the gravel making it easier to find and wash. We as prospectors love the rain! We are getting close to Fall when we cool just a bit and get lots of rain, making even surface hunting fun! When you are out there and it is raining, watch how and where the gravel travels! Just beware if it is lightning, you attract it so don't play with it!
