Camping season isn't over just because summer is! 🍂🏕️

In fact, fall might be one of the best times to pitch a tent around Calloway County. The temperatures are finally cooling down, the trees are starting to show off their colors, and Kentucky Lake is still calling your name.

Spend your mornings fishing, take an afternoon hike through the changing leaves, and settle in around the campfire when the evening air gets chilly. There's plenty to enjoy outside this time of year, and you don't need a packed schedule to enjoy it.

No matter if you're here for the game, the cheers, or to watch Racer One take that lap around the track, Murray State Homecoming is the perfect place to take a trip down memory lane. Right back under those stadium lights. 💙💛

On Saturday, October 17, the Racers take on the South Dakota Coyotes at 4 p.m. at Roy Stewart Stadium. Come back to Calloway County, find your seat, and experience the traditions that make a fall Saturday in Murray feel familiar no matter how long you’ve been away.

Homecoming only comes once a year. Come home and cheer on the Racers!

Did you need a sign that coming to Murray State for Homecoming Weekend was the right choice? Well, here's 3!

Murray State Homecoming happens this weekend, October 15-18. Alumni, students, families, and friends are welcomed back to Calloway County for four days of Racer traditions. Saturday is packed with favorites, including the Homecoming Parade at 9:30 a.m., Tent City at noon, and Racer Football against South Dakota at 4 p.m., along with Racer One, the Racer Band, and the crowning of the 2026 Homecoming King and Queen.

Remember: Homecoming doesn’t stop at the edge of campus. Come back to your favorite Murray restaurants, revisit the places you remember, discover what’s changed, and spend some time enjoying Calloway County while you’re home.
