If you are in town and want to support the local homeless furry friends, see info below on the week long donation event leading up to Mardi Paws.

Myrtle Beach's Parks, Recreation and Sports Tourism Department is collecting donations for the Grand Strand Humane Society leading up to the Mardi Paws event next Saturday, March 8. Donations can be dropped off at Pepper Geddings Recreation Center or Crabtree Memorial Gym through Friday, March 7. You may also bring donations to the event at Grand Park. Here's the list of necessary items:
- Pedigree dry/wet dog food
- Purina One smart blend
- Friskies pate wet cat food
- Purina kitten/cat chow
- Fancy Feast
- Pet ag kitten milk replacement
- Greenies pill pockets
- Feline Pine Pellet cat litter
- Natural pine pellet cat litter
- Small/medium litter boxes
- Dog harnesses - M, L & xl
- Dog beds - new/gently used
- Paper towels/toilet paper
- Disinfecting bleach/sodium hydrochloride
- Baby wipes
- Laundry detergent (dye free)
- Swiffer duster/wet cloths
- Towels, blankets and sheets
- Garbage bags
- Copy paper
- Envelopes/postage stamps
- Money and gift cards to Walmart, Sam’s Club, Amazon, Chewey.com and PetSmart
