Join City Council tomorrow for a stroll on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk...

Come join Mayor John Rhodes and members of City Council this Wednesday, April 19, for a stroll along the boardwalk in honor of “National Walking Month.” The public is invited to walk the boardwalk at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 19, beginning at Second Avenue Pier.

The walk heads north to the SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, then returns to Second Avenue Pier where refreshments will be available. It’s a two-mile stroll. Come walk with the mayor and Council and see the boardwalk!

FYI (because many are asking the same question)...While we reopened for the 2017 season TODAY, we did not close due to damage. We close every year for the off-season. Repairing the end of the pier is a LONG process, one we have started, but there is no estimated date for completion. While the very end is not accessible, there is still plenty of pier to enjoy! The restaurant and bar are still in great shape! Come see us!
