With Waccamaw River Tours, you will explore by boat the beautiful cypress lined Waccamaw River, Intracoastal Waterway and its creeks/swamp; in search of birds, and other wildlife that inhabit these southern waters along the untouched National Wildlife Refuge. l. You also may see heron, egrets, cormorants, ducks, turtles and alligators. You’ll be greeted by roaming peacocks and gaze upon exotic animals such as buffalo, zebra, fallow deer, emus, and sheep on the drive to & from our docks at the back of the Waccatee Zoo. Waccamaw River Tours is a separate business from the Zoo. Parking is free. Learn about the history of this river and surrounding areas. It is a historic and educational exploration of nature for all ages. The beauty of this river is a medicine that soothes the heart and heals the soul.
