Back to it finally, and everyone from all our favorite families came to say hello. Buoyed up right off our spot at broken road, boated our new record size 25lb rainbow runner. Afterwards we were all viciously attacked by a juvenile whale shark- still around 20 ft long. She came for the sardines fast, tail slapped our boat, and charged straight for Mark and Dale, tied just 40 ft from us. They got dragged one way by the dorsal fin as she rammed one side. We threw wads of sardines at those guys to see if we could entice the fish to come back at 'em again- they had just enough time to get out the paddles and beat the thing bacd k as it charged the other side of the boat, mouth agape. I told those guys to be polite and keep her around with gentle words, sardine feeding and petting while I got in with the go pro, but with a paddle slap to the face, she was gone for good. Bad luck dat!! Mark neva catch nuthin all day after that, but wahunui. Me and Eric kept ourselves in fresh live opelu baits all day. I got my mahi finally; casting live, un-weighted baits away from the boat. Mahi mahi are frequently around the perimeter of activity, but never wanna come right under the boat. My good ol Penn 450 broke when I hooked up, but we hand lined him in! We went on to catch more runners, I got a 20lb white ulua, then as I was reeling up a dead opelu from deep, just to check my bait, a 40lb ono slammed it top sp*ed just 15 ft under the boat! Fought him, speared him, got him wrestled into the boat. Wouldn't fit in the cooler though! Been workin on that mahi and ono a lotta years; all came together in one epic day! stay tuned-I'll try get some of the edited footage out this week.

Summer of Snapper!!- We been hammerin um off da spot, and Eric caught one trophy 24.2 pounder yesterday!! Other than that, yellow-tail were hitting hard- caught 70lbs worth, and plenny others around; saw mahi, barracuda, ballyhoo, blue-bone, needle fish, shy kine opelu ;) No Summer tiger sharks yet...

Night fishing was nice. Had 5 fish- 3 aweoweo and two mempachi on all at once. Just fished maybe one hour before dawn, then switched to live opelu and cut baits for rainbow runners. Eric caught about 10! I had a couple dozen opelu a bag of mempachi and one large runner. Not bad, but I gotta fix some gear and
try to keep up with my partner- he's schoolin me lately!!:)
Surge was mild, weather was warm. Divers had some nice ono. Huge pods of dolphins, and multiple mahi sightings. That's it, next time I'm gettin one.

I just retained an Ambush Pro Fishing tanker Kayak. Now we can bring the whole cooler onboard, stand up to p*e, put a cot on da main dock, anything my friends- the game has changed... We can have a POV inter-racial fish blood o**y!... All this and more on da way. Action has been hit and miss da last 4 trips, but we're hookin up mega-sized fish with more consistency. Stay tuned...

Time to up da stakes- ono's are runnin and we ain't gonna miss out, if I can do anything about it!! I'm wired up for the teeth on those beasts now, so we'll see how this goes down tomorrow. It's me, Dave, n Mark hittin it at daybreak, and I got a big, long, hard, throbbing feelin dat we gonna get some kinda mega-fish onboard. Our time is well due, and ono's and mahis; let it be psychically understood that one of yall is comin with us!
