Got - Cha! Yesterday, warm ocean water at 80 degrees lured in DOLPHIN FISH and SAILFISH. Today, the WRV OBX Pro surf contest is underway and anglers are catching FLOUNDER, BLUEFISH, PINFISH and PIGFISH. Water temp 80 degrees again. Winds at SW at 6 knots. Manatee Sighting -- A small wave is rolling in. and The WRV OBX Pro contest gets underway tomorrow, waves and weather permitting. Fishingwise, anglers have caught BLUES, FLOUNDER and SPOT. Security Guard Mike P. saw a MANATEE pass under the end of the pier swimming north to south. Winds are Sw at 8 knots. Ocean temp down to 72 degrees. High tide 11:39 a.m. Low tide 6:15 p.m.

Two more nice ones! Jeff Hackles from PA caught this 20.5 - inch keeper! The one Joyce from Currituck landed was a quarter inch short on one end, so she threw it back.

Check out our first keeper FLOUNDER by Gary Miller of Virginia! That's right, FLOUNDER season is open for two weeks and ends n Sept. 14. We've have had luck with SPANISH MACKEREL off the end again this morning early. West winds at 4 knots. Ocean temp 78 degrees. High tide 10:51 a.m. Low 5:19 p.m.
