It's National Travel & Tourism Week, and we have a lot to celebrate. 🍷

We're thrilled to share that the Napa Valley Register recently interviewed our President and CEO, Linsey Gallagher, for an article on the positive trajectory of tourism's impact in Napa Valley. Napa Valley's visitor economy is thriving — and the numbers tell the story.

Napa County's lodging industry posted meaningful gains: occupancy climbed 2.7%, the average daily room rate rose to $423.82, and revenue per available room grew 3.7%. Visitor spending reached $2.08 billion ➡️ supporting more than 20,000 local jobs and generating over $207 million in state and local tax revenue.

To put that in perspective: tourism contributes roughly $14,500 in direct visitor spending and approximately $870 in local tax revenue for every single Napa County resident — funding the parks, trails, public safety, and infrastructure that make this valley a remarkable place to live and visit.

Travel is one of the most powerful economic engines we have. This week, we celebrate the industry professionals, hospitality workers, and communities who make it all possible — and the millions of visitors who choose to explore, experience, and connect with us.

Thank you to everyone who makes Napa Valley worth the journey. We'll see you soon. 🌿

Congratulations to Jim Regusci, of Regusci Winery , named the 2026 Napa Valley Grower of the Year by the Napa Valley Grapegrowers!

Jim's story is one of roots, resilience, and remarkable dedication. A third-generation farmer in the Stags Leap District, he carries on a legacy his grandfather began in 1932 — and has built something extraordinary of his own.

What sets Napa Valley apart is the people: people who treat the land, and each other, with deep respect and care. At just 19 years old, Jim founded Regusci Vineyard Management with a single truck and an unmatched work ethic. Today, RVM farms over 2,000 acres and employs more than 175 full-time professionals, quietly shaping the quality and reputation of Napa Valley wines on the world stage.

But what truly sets Jim apart is how he shows up for his community. From opening his ranch for educational vineyard tours, to feeding employee families during the pandemic, to supporting local schools, hospitals, and youth programs — Jim's impact extends far beyond the vines.

This is what Napa Valley is made of: people who treat the land, and each other, with deep respect and care.

Join us in celebrating Jim Regusci — farmer, leader, neighbor, and a true steward of this valley we love. 🌿

Nearly a decade ago, a Napa Valley College classroom sparked something bigger than a career. Educator Charlie Monahan mentored restaurateur Ben Koenig as he launched Heritage Eats and connected him with students who became part of his very first team. Today, that relationship has grown into a lasting partnership between Napa Valley College and our local restaurant community.

Now, as Ben prepares to open George + Kin's, he’s coming full circle by leading an $18,000 campaign to support the Career Education Scholarship established in Charlie’s honor.

This represents what Napa Valley is all about: mentorship, opportunity and a community that invests in its people. From kitchens to classrooms, these connections shape the experiences that both residents and visitors come here to enjoy. For more information or to donate, visit www.georgeandkins.com/donate.

Napa Valley’s continued investment in thoughtful, community-first infrastructure is gaining momentum. Earlier this month, Napa Valley Vine Trail Coalition received an $850,000 federal funding boost for a key segment of the Napa Valley Vine Trail between Yountville and St. Helena, marking an important step toward enhancing connectivity across the Valley.

More than a visitor amenity, Napa Valley Vine Trail is a shared community asset. By creating safe, accessible, car-free pathways, it helps ease congestion, improve mobility and elevate quality of life for residents, while also enhancing how visitors experience Napa Valley’s landscape and local businesses.

Simply put, tourism plays a critical role in making projects like the Vine Trail possible without adding financial burden to residents.

Just in time for spring in Wine Country, air carrier JSX is bringing back its seasonal service to Napa County Airport (APC) beginning April 17, making it easier than ever to travel between Napa Valley and Southern California.

With non-stop flights connecting Burbank, Orange County and a new route from Santa Monica, JSX offers a seamless gateway for visitors while also giving local residents a convenient option for business trips, weekend getaways and family travel to SoCal.

For our hospitality community, improved air access from key California markets helps sustain demand across the region. Expanded connectivity like this strengthens Napa Valley’s role as both a world-class destination and a well-connected place to live, work and visit.

From parks and recreation to road repairs, police and fire protection, when guests spend the night in Napa Valley, the taxes generated help fund essential city and county services residents rely on every day.

Last year, visitor spending reached $2.5 billion, supporting 16,000 local jobs and saving Napa Valley households more than $2,000 annually in taxes.

Tourism here isn’t just about travel. It’s about sustaining the community, supporting local businesses and helping protect what makes Napa Valley such a special place to live.

Behind every Napa Valley small business is a story.

Across our five towns, locally owned restaurants, cafés and boutiques help define the character of our community. They’re run by passionate entrepreneurs and longtime residents who invest their time and creativity to make this region such a special place to live, work and play.

When we support local businesses, we’re not just enjoying great food or discovering unique shops. This week, try a restaurant you’ve never visited, stop into a neighborhood boutique or grab coffee from a local café you haven’t discovered yet.

Small choices add up. Together, they help keep Napa Valley thriving.
