I'm Jeanne Allen, and welcome to the page for my accessible travel blog, Incredible Accessible. On this date in 1849, Walter Hunt patented the safety pin. He thought it wouldn’t sell so he sold the patent for only $400. That’s a wake up call for all of us! Believe in your worth and ideas! Inspiration coming from my hospital bed in rehab!

Acute rehab saga, continued …equipment I’ve not seen before. While I am getting my leg strength back, I am using a Sara Stedy to transfer from my wheelchair to the bed, and from the bed to the wheelchair. This is a game changer!

My new favorite hotel chain for ! Roll-in shower with controls I could reach. Plenty of space in the bathroom. Spacious room with wheelchair space on both sides of the bed. Closet with lowered bar. Coffeemaker accessible. Barn door to bathroom. Towel and robe hooks at right height- reachable from the shower. An expansive mirror where I could see my face. And it was in a cool part of town- rollable to the Deschutes River!

Kudos to The Mill at Glen Ellen for fixing the bathroom to be accessible to all! The previous owners built the bathroom with 1 step at the entrance! Thank you Dana Jaffe and Sanjeev Singh for fabulous meals in a magical setting. And for a bathroom that people in wheelchairs can use!

Now that I am a full-time Multifamily real estate syndicator I travel for business. Though not blogging anymore I am still very aware of wheelchair accessibility!

I’m bragging about the wheelchair accessibility in our College Station TX property! 😁 There is a ramp! I was actually able to go into the units due to wide doorways and a flat entry. And into the bathroom! One of the advantages of 2011 construction.
