Mental Health Monday
Like with my Travel Tip Tuesdays, my Where to Wednesdays, my Thankful Thursdays, & my Fun Fact Friday posts that I have done over the years, I plan to bring the occasional Mental Health Monday post.
How do you work on your own mental health?
Did you know, according to WebMD, traveling can improve your mental health?
After a particular difficult few months for my family, we were emotionally drained, and finding we needed a little reset. So, we took some time, just the three of us, to do just that. And where do you start when you are looking for a little happiness, but none other than the “Happiest Place on Earth”, Disneyland. There was some sunshine, a bit of warmth, and of course, exercise (surpassing all step goals times 3). Did every ride in a two day time frame, plus shows, dining, and a character breakfast. Then went exploring up and down the coast; Crystal Cove, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Long Beach. We rode bikes up and down boardwalks, walked on the sand, and took time to enjoy the beauty all around us. Another great day of weather filled with sun, to a beautiful sunset in the evening. The trip may have been short and a bit last minute as plans had changed the day before we left, but it was all worth it in the end. Magical memories were made and a plan was set into motion to do “this” again each year.

So, I may be a bit late, but this is our Happy New Year. Looking forward to another year filled with more travel and adventures. Praying for good health, as that is what is most important. Here’s to 2025, may we find peace, comfort, and joy. Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, and safe year ahead!
