Finally getting around to doing some actually fishing. Squid and fluke mostly. Always wild to jig a bunch of squid. It's oddly mesmerizing. Such cool creatures. The local Rhode Island run has been a very strong one this spring. I actually can't believe it's still going on. It's like a conveyor belt of cephalopods.

Fluke has been good. Not great, but good. You need to put your time in. The flood tide has been better for us. Early morning. You catch the fish in pulses. One, two, three. Then nothing. You think it's done. Then boom you catch a few more. That's fishing.

Anchor up and send down crabs. Repeat. Was a breezy start to day, northerly wind, somewhat cold. But the fishing was decent, a mix of sea bass and blackfish, and a few big scup for good cheer.
