Engine is out, and man was she tired! 14,000 hours! Next we clean up the mess, rewire and re plumb the old girl. Weld in new engine mounting plates then strap in the new jet turbine C7 Cat. Hoping for 15-17 knot cruise speed ( with mid 20's top end)which will cut our steaming time in half!

Buoy 101.
1) Purchase an absurdly over priced foam buoy.
2) Run poly 3/8 inch line through opening
3) Lazy splice line to form a loop.
4) Pull loop back into buoy and cut to length with rope
burner.
5) Place plastic support grommet through line.
6) Tie double becket knot.
7) Restart the process 75 times!
8) Tirelessly paint each buoy with 2 coats of 3
different colors
8) Watch Orsted wind turbine construction boats run
over and destroy your buoys

Switched it up today, fishing on Sunday. Too much NE Breeze yesterday. A very manageable 8 knots currently . Hopping.for a good haul today, very positive signs last time!

Meet commercial fishermen, and North Kingstown native, Eric Feroldi. Eric has been operating his own boat the F/V Ella and Evan, named after his two children, since 2017. Prior to captaining his own vessel, he got started fishing as a deckhand for Lou Fusco on the F/V Diversion.

Eric earned his degree in aquaculture and fisheries science from URI. After graduating, he worked as a fisheries observer for NOAA, and later the North Cape Lobster V- Notch program.
