Puerto Vallarta has earned its title as the gay capital of Mexico and not just for one week a year.

Yes, Vallarta Pride is spectacular (this year's 13th annual edition just wrapped with 40,000+ visitors and 50+ parade floats 🌈), but the LGBTQ+ welcome in PVR runs deeper than a festival. The Zona Romántica is the vibrant hub, but the warmth extends across the whole city, from the resorts to the beaches to the malecón.

It's one of those rare destinations where my LGBTQ+ clients consistently feel not just welcome, but celebrated. That matters when you're planning a vacation.

I don’t know where you were headed, but I hope it was somewhere worthy of that energy. A yellow polo. Monkey pants. Coordinated. Intentional. Chef’s kiss.

I genuinely hope your family greets you at baggage claim with the same joy you gave every stranger in that terminal. Because sir, you are the reason people say vacation changes you. Some of us come home with a tan. You apparently come home with a look.

There are moments on a trip that you don’t plan — you just stumble into them and think, this is exactly why we do this.

Hiking to Iceberg Lake in Glacier National Park with our boys was one of those trips. The trail, the views, the glacially-carved basin… absolutely stunning. But honestly? The highlight might have been pulling off my hiking boots at the edge of that icy water and letting my feet soak for a few minutes. Pure, unplanned bliss.
