NEW travel perk: TSA PreCheck Touchless ID is now available at 33 airports and 77 checkpoints with 5 airlines participating. It will be expanding to 32 more airports by Spring 2026.

If you have TSA PreCheck and a valid passport, look at opting in here: https://www.tsa.gov/touchless-id

Reminder: Starting February 1, if you don’t have a REAL ID or acceptable form of ID (like a passport!) for domestic flights, you may pay a $45 fee to verify your identity through TSA ConfirmID. A passport card ($30) or passport book are both accepted REAL ID alternatives for domestic air travel and can help you avoid this fee, but just remember that a passport card cannot be used for international air travel (you'll need a passport book for that). Learn more about the Real ID policy at TSA.gov/real-id and about passport cards at travel.state.gov/passportcard.

The passport stamp era is officially ending 📖 Singapore stopped stamping foreign visitors in 2022, and now 29 European countries are following suit with their new Entry/Exit System rolling out through April 2026. E-gates and biometrics promise faster borders, but that little travel souvenir? Gone.

Countries saying goodbye to stamps: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

Passport Book vs. Passport Card: What’s the Difference?

Planning a trip and unsure whether you need a passport book or a passport card? Here’s a quick breakdown to help you decide:

Passport Book 📖

• Use: The passport book is your all-access pass for international travel by air, land, or sea.
• Where You Can Go: It’s valid for travel to any country worldwide.
• Cost: More expensive, but it’s the most versatile option for frequent or international travelers.
• Best For: Those flying internationally or traveling beyond neighboring countries.

Passport Card 💳

• Use: The passport card is valid for travel by land and sea only.
• Where You Can Go: It’s limited to the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean.
• Cost: More affordable than the passport book.
• Best For: Road trips or cruises to neighboring countries (but no air travel).

Key Difference: The passport card cannot be used for international flights. If you plan to fly overseas, you’ll need a passport book.

Pro Tip: If you travel often, consider getting both for flexibility! The card is handy for quick trips, while the book has you covered for everything else.
