Nashville Carriage Rides

Nashville Carriage Rides See downtown Nashville by horse-drawn carriage! Relax as our gentle draft horses take you through the Broadway entertainment district.

Relax on a family-friendly, horse-drawn carriage ride through some of the popular and historical sites in downtown Nashville. Please note: Several carriage companies serve Nashville. We recommend the services of Capital Carriage, Hat Creek Carriage, or Southern Comfort Carriage for the most knowledgeable, helpful and honest drivers and quiet, well-trained horses. On weeknights, carriages begin op

eration at 6 p.m. Look for carriage stands near Margaritaville and in front of Mike's Ice Cream, both on lower Broadway. Special events may dictate relocation of carriages to Commerce Street or Riverfront Park. Weekend hours of operation vary depending on events occurring downtown that may close roads and alter the carriage route. Carriages do not operate in inclement weather or when the temperature makes it unsafe for the horses to work. Rates start at $30 per group for an approx. 20 minute ride. Some companies offer payment by credit/debit card (please inquire!) Longer rides are available if desired.

**We hope to offer door-to-door service to hotels and attractions around downtown later this summer. This is pending approval of Metro Nashville's Transportation Licensing Commission. Fares will vary depending on pick-up/drop-off locations.***

Future Home of Nashville Convention Center

Ca. Early 1980s

The Back of this photo notes that the area surrounded in the white lines will soon be the site of some 800 housing units. However, this plan would not come to fruition, as the "new" convention center would be built on this site in 1986. The area across Broadway is now home to Bridgestone Arena.

Don't be fooled by "Groupons" or other online "deals." Our carriages run 7 days a week (weather permitting) and walk-up rides are always available (we start at 6pm during the week). $30 for a 20-25 minute ride; $45 for a half hour. Pick ups/drop offs are available within our operating area. We can be found in front of the Tin Roof (Broadway); Mike's Ice Cream (Broadway between 2nd & 3rd); and in front of the old Trail West building.
