Hank Williams Jr. Boogie Bar. Downtown Broadway.
Most people don't know the building was a Civil War hospital. The basement? A morgue. Both Union and Confederate soldiers passed through these walls — and some never left.
We brought our gear in. Footsteps in empty rooms. Lights flickering on cue.
Then we asked for a name.
The spirit box said "William."
We're standing in Hank Williams Jr.'s bar. Asking who's home.
And Hank Williams Senior answered.
You can't make this up. 🎙️👻

Today, we remember a legend.

David “Skull” Schulman—the Mayor of Printer’s Alley—was brutally attacked and murdered inside his own nightclub, the Rainbow Room. For over half a century, Skull protected the Alley, nurtured artists, and gave Nashville one of its most electric chapters.

His presence never left.
It just became part of the night.

They don’t call him the King of Broken Hearts for nothing. 💔 George Jones could convey more pain in a single syllable than most singers do in a whole career. But is this truly the darkest song in country music history, or does “He Stopped Loving Her Today” still hold the crown? Let me know what you think below. 👇

Behind the banjo and long legs was one of the darkest crimes in country music history.
What happened to Stringbean Akeman wasn’t folklore, it was real, violent, and terrifying.
This is the side of Nashville they don’t put on postcards.
