Vanderbilt BhangraDores

Vanderbilt University's bhangra dance team. Founded in August 2011, the BhangraDores are Vanderbilt University's premier South Asian dance team.

Our purpose is to promote cultural awareness and aesthetic appreciation of Bhangra, a Punjabi folk dance. The BhangraDores commit multiple hours to practices and meetings which culminate in contributions to on-campus events and performances in the broader Nashville community. Additionally, the BhangraDores is a competitive intercollegiate team that travels to national competitions and vies for regional titles along with many other major collegiate teams.

happy Thanksgiving from BD!! Reflecting on this past semester, we are so grateful for our time at BD retreat!! Once again, a long over due post, but we had a blast getting bonding with our bd family and making lasting memories 🫶🦃😋 I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

WOOHOOO BD RECAP🎉Some long over due posts but SO worth the wait! We’re incredibly thankful for such an unforgettable year full of dancing, laughter, and memories🫶🏽Thank you to for giving us an opportunity to compete and dance! We also want to say a special thanks and a goodbye to our seniors.
