There are lodges that don’t pick up - but we’re not one of them.

Connect with old friends and come down to Mexico.

Our Dove package includes six dove hunts along with lodging, meals, open bar, license, transfers, and rooms. Most groups fly into Brownsville, Texas, where a member of our team picks them up, helps them across the border, and gets them to the lodge roughly two hours later. It is one of the easiest ways to do a trip like this without having to travel halfway across the world.

This is the more relaxed of the two trips we offer, but do not confuse relaxed with slow. It is still a very high-action trip. The difference is in the rhythm. Shorter drives, birdy country close to the lodge, and more time to enjoy everything once you get back.

The hunting itself centers around milo fields, brush lines, gravel pits, and nearby ranches. Our scouts are out every day checking where the birds are most concentrated, which lets us stay on the best setups instead of guessing. If your group wants to be close together and enjoy a little more talking and friendly competition, we can do that. If you want more room between shooters, we can do that too.

A big part of what people like about this package is that it gives you the action you came for without making the trip feel like a grind. You hunt hard, eat well, get taken care of, and still have time to enjoy the lodge. Drinks are ready when you get back, the food is strong, the service is sharp, and the whole trip has a more easygoing feel than a lot of people expect from this kind of volume.

It is a great option for fathers and sons, groups of friends, client trips, and returning crews that want a lot of action without a punishing schedule.

Shoot us a message if you’re interested.

😂This is the energy on our dove hunts.
Don’t come to Mexico for the Dove Package.

There are way too many birds. You’ll leave with so many stories your friends will start getting tired of hearing them. And worst of all, it’ll make every future dove trip feel a little disappointing in comparison.

No really though, our White Wing Dove Package genuinely surprises people.

Most guests expect it to be a simple volume hunt, then the trip starts and they realize how much more there is to it. The action is steady, the setups are close to the lodge, and the whole package has a more relaxed rhythm to it than people expect.

Part of that is the bird numbers, but part of it is how easy the days feel. You are hunting milo fields, brush lines, gravel pits, and nearby ranches that our scouts are checking every day to stay on the best concentrations of birds. There is not a lot of wasted time in the truck and there is not a grind to the schedule. You get in, get after them, and still have plenty of time to enjoy the lodge.

That is a big reason groups love this package. If you want to set friends close together and talk a little more, laugh a little more, and keep the competition going, you can do that. If you want more space and a setup built around bigger individual bags, you can do that too.

It is high volume without feeling rushed, and it is laid-back without ever feeling slow. That balance is what makes this package so hard to beat.

A lot of people come down expecting the dove to be the easy option. Then they leave realizing it is one of the most fun hunts we offer.

13 species we see the most in Mexico👇

Redhead
The signature duck of our region. Most of our redheads are found out on the Laguna Madre where shallow saltwater and massive seagrass beds create one of the most important wintering habitats anywhere for the species.

Northern Pintail
Pintails move through all three environments we hunt, but our freshwater ponds outside the Laguna are where they really stack up. These birds love shallow wetlands where they can feed and rest.

American Wigeon
Wigeon are a very consistent bird for us. We see them both on the Laguna and around fresher water where aquatic vegetation is plentiful.

Ruddy Duck
Ruddies are tough little divers that show up regularly in protected water. We tend to encounter them more often in ponds and calmer marsh areas.

Canvasback
Canvasbacks are not the everyday bird that redheads are, but they do show up in the right conditions. They prefer deeper coastal water and larger freshwater ponds.

Bufflehead
These small divers usually appear on sheltered coastal water and protected ponds during the winter. They are always a fun surprise when they buzz the spread.

Blue-winged Teal
Blue-wings thrive in shallow marshes and pond edges, so the marsh and freshwater areas are where we encounter them most often.

Cinnamon Teal
Cinnamon teal favor shallow freshwater wetlands and marsh habitat, typically showing up in sheltered water.

Green-winged Teal
Green-wings are another classic shallow-water duck. They prefer marshes, ponds, and protected edges where they feed on seeds and aquatic plants.

Gadwall
Gadwall show up regularly in our marsh and freshwater areas. They key heavily on aquatic vegetation, so anywhere there is good feed you are likely to see them.

Northern Shoveler
Shovelers are common in shallow wetlands and ponds where they filter-feed along the surface.

Black-bellied Whistling-Duck
A staple bird of northern Mexico. These ducks are usually found around freshwater ponds, wetlands, and agricultural areas.

Ring-necked Duck
Ring-necks prefer freshwater lakes and ponds, so we most often see them around our larger freshwater holes outside the Laguna.
