We are so please to have Nauvoo Pharmacy join us again this year for our 3rd annual Sonora Vendor Event! We sure hope you stop by and chat with Lauren and Mattie on September 20 here at Sonora Gardens Farmstead Properties. They are so good to share important information about health and wellbeing along with medications. They offer so many great items at their store including supplements, great products, clothing for the littles, gift items and so much more. We love their home grown honey here at Sonora Gardens!

On September 1, 2022, Lauren Carlisle and Mattie Haas purchased the pharmacy from Tom and LuAnn Haas. Lauren and Mattie are both born and raised in Hancock County, only leaving the county to complete pharmacy school. Lauren Po***ck Carlisle grew up in LaHarpe, IL. She graduated from Illini West High School and then from the University of Washington College of Pharmacy in 2018. Mattie Robertson Haas grew up in Dallas City, IL. She graduated from Nauvoo-Colusa Jr./Sr. High School and then from Drake University College of Pharmacy in 2013. In 2014, Mattie married Tom and LuAnn’s son, Michael, establishing the relationship for the continued legacy of Nauvoo Pharmacy. Linda Garrelts MacLean (LuAnn’s sister and pharmacy professor at the University of Washington) was Lauren’s most trusted mentor in pharmacy school, establishing the connection between Lauren and Mattie. Both Lauren and Mattie reflect, “It feels quite special to have been professionally and personally mentored by the Garrelts sisters who got their start at Nauvoo Pharmacy and now we have the honor to carry on the community and heritage that they also felt at the start of their careers and in the same location! The gratitude and connection we feel to be able to continue this legacy is indescribable. We look forward to many future years of service and providing quality pharmaceutical care
