A little "birdie" told us that we can count on a new course opening today...
Boasting 12 holes and a total yardage of about 4000, the Commons aims to set itself apart from the other beloved courses on Sand Valley's property while also serving as a "connection point" to link the original resort to the Sedge Valley and Village development.
Congratulations to the Sand Valley team and all those who put in countless hours to design, prepare, and open the course. We can't wait to see this newest addition to the resort "take flight."

• The Monroe Prairie ATV Club has been a valuable community resource for decades thanks to its ongoing maintenance of the trail systems that run through Rome. Whether it involves trimming trees or grass, offering an ATV/UTV safety course, or simply generating excitement for the area's trails through their annual events, we are always happy to support such a great group of people.

• Of course, we can't forget the Rapid Angels and all the work they've done over the years promoting and utilizing Dyracuse Recreational Park. In fact, the Town of Rome was the first in the state to develop a motorcycle area with funding from the Motorcycle Recreation Program (MRP), thanks to meetings organized between the Angels and Town of Rome officials. Nowadays, you can often see these members at Dyracuse during the season's biggest events.

This 4-day week is almost through, so here's the round-up just for you!
Of course, we can't list every single thing you can do in Rome, so make sure you head outside, hit the greens or water, and just enjoy our great town however you can this weekend.

***If you know of an upcoming event that should be on the round-up, please email [email protected] BEFORE 5 PM on Tuesdays to get your event on the calendar and in the post for that week. We try to keep track of everything going on, but it helps IMMENSELY if you let us know ahead of time!

The greens are perfectly groomed, the divots have been filled, and (unfortunately) the bunkers and water hazards are ready to take your Titleists as their trophies.
It's that time of year where the golf season is in "full swing!"

Almost all the golf courses in Rome are open and ready to play, so whether you choose to tackle 9, 18, or 36 holes (or prefer dodging windmills and ceramic bears at Papa Bear's Mini Golf), we wish you all the best as you take to the course!
