What an outstanding spring fishing stretch it has been. Just fishing with my close circle of friends from shore and the boat. Hope everyone has been able to get out and get in on the hot spring action!

Update on the business, it is pending sale and should soon be operated by a great new guide who I will still coach and help grow into a true legend ;)

Fun day on pool 9! Lots of shorts around the dam. Went down river and got keepers! Titeline Tackle bucktail jig with a minnow was getting bit at each spot very well! Had 8 keepers to end the day :)

Major Announcement:

Ill start by saying, Guiding the river has been an amazing experience. Ive had some incredible customers and soo many of them! Wow, have I been blessed!!! I never dreamed I'd be one of the best to do it, and I am thanks to yal!

I want to share that I likely will not continue guiding in the future. Everything is fine, the main reason is that it's hard to be a good dad and a good guide. Point blank! It takes a lot of unpaid hours to be as good at it as I have been. Over the years I've had to bail on my kids plans to make hay while the sunshined. Too many things I've missed out on with them that will only happen once. I want to be a part of their life and make them my priority. I was extremely successful and it took a lot to be that guy.

The business is currently for sale, pending sale. I want Xtra Mile Outdoor Guide Service to continue on and not end with me. Im doing my best to find someone who will be a acceptable candidate who will serve my customers the way I did. If I work that out I will work closely with them to help them be a top notch performer. So it's possible that guide trips will still be done next year with a new guide. Today I accepted a job offer that will be more compatible with the dad life. I'm proud that I raised the standards for guiding in our area and pioneered a lot of new energy and information into the market.

Please do not be disappointed and know that all my customers who I am close with can always contact me and our friendship will still exist! Memories will not be forgotten and I'll always appreciate you all as long as I live :) keep those lines tight and don't be discouraged by a tough day on ol muddy, when you get a good one let out a rebel yell for me!

I will post again if there is any new news! If the business does not sell I will probably sell equipment and information. Please don't unfollow because the new guy will still use this page if sold. Thanks ❤️

To say we Had fun today would be an understatement! Great new customer!

Walleye bite was great yesterday! The trees have turned, its so pretty on the river and we have warm temperatures :)

Another fun October day with a great group of guys!

I'm pretty much ready for a hunting vacation. From here on I'll just pick up a trip here and there. Season complete, what a great year! Thanks to all of you for the business and support! I couldn't be who I am without all of you great people out there ;)

Update: Season is coming to a close. I will possibly pick up some dates later in the fall. I'll post any late fall openings on here. Depends on the weather and working around the hunting times. I do have an opening for one group next week Wednesday October 9th, for 3 to 4 people for a panfish trip. Perch, gills, crappie... message me or call for information on that. No less then 3 people to book. Thanks for a great season everyone and to all my great followers and all your motivational comments throughout this season!!!
