Something delicious is taking root at the Capital Region Welcome Center!

We’re excited to welcome root2riseny products to the shelves.!Their Dark Seed Chocolate Bark, Banana Nut Granola, and Cacao Crisp Bar are all organic, gluten-free, and seriously tasty.

Stop by the Welcome Center to grab a bite, or branch out and visit their shops in Pleasantville or Larchmont.

Did you know that it takes over 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of Jourdin’s maple syrup?

With this knowledge the experts at our welcome center were able to determine that in order to make one 8.5 ounce bottle you would need about 1 and 1/10th Ryan's worth of maple sap! Thank you Operations Coordinator Ryan for your support for this project.

Celebrate Maple Month at the Capital Region Welcome Center with a maple latte! Made with espresso from Chris' Coffee Service, milk from King Brothers Dairy, and flavored maple syrup from Tree Juice Maple Syrup.

Calling all photographers! This is the last week to submit photos for the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets' year-long Agricultural Photo Contest aimed at showcasing the very best of New York State's diverse agricultural landscape. The first-place winners each month will have their photo included in a 2026 calendar spotlighting the best of New York agriculture.

December's photo contest category is "Homegrown Holidays." This month, we invite you to spotlight the New York’s robust community of agribusinesses that offer delicious, home-grown food and beverages as well as local products that bring comfort, warmth, and cheer to the holiday season. From the delicious, home-cooked meals prepared with locally grown food, the New York Christmas trees, wreaths, or winter floral arrangements decking the halls in homes across the state, or the heartfelt artisan gifts like beeswax candles, handcrafted soaps, and cozy wool products, December's photo contest category aims to capture these growers and producers, and the shops that champion them!

These humanely harvested, whole small trout are freeze-dried in an FDA-certified facility with absolutely no additives or preservatives.
