Gallery 66 is thrilled to announce an open call for submissions for our upcoming group exhibition, " "Colors of Change: Art, Awareness, and the Love of Pets" . "This exhibition seeks to explore the connections between pets, health and overall well-being through art. We invite artists from all mediums to contribute their perspectives and creativity to this unique and meaningful show.
Exhibition Theme:
Art has the power to inspire, educate, and ignite meaningful conversations. This theme encourages artists to translate emotions into visuals, using their work to amplify voices, challenge perspectives, and foster change. Through diverse mediums and narratives, we celebrate the impact of art in raising awareness and making a difference. Additionally, we honor the joy and wellness that pets and animals bring into our lives, recognizing their role in companionship, healing, and the natural world. Their presence enriches our well-being, reminding us of the deep connections we share with all living beings.
Who Can Apply:
Gallery 66 welcomes submissions from emerging and established artists working in any medium, including but not limited to: Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Mixed Media and Digital Art.
Submission Guidelines
Deadline for Submissions: 12 noon, APR 4, 2025 via email
Artists may submit up to 3 pieces for consideration. All submitted works must relate to the exhibition theme. Artwork must not exceed 30W & 30H/Sculpture 18H. Provide high-resolution images of your work (JPEG or PNG format, minimum 300 dpi). Include the title, dimensions and medium for each piece. A brief artist statement (150-250 words) describing your work and its connection to the theme. Short Artist’s bio (150 words) and contact information
Important Dates:
Submission Deadline: 12PM, Thursday, April 3 via email
Notification of Acceptance: Monday, APR 7 via email
Artwork Drop Off: Friday, APR 11 4P-6P and Sat, Apr 12, 11A-1PM
Exhibition Dates: APRIL 14 - JUNE 7
Opening Reception: Saturday, MAY 10 / 2PM - 4PM
Submission Process: Please email your submissions to [email protected] with the subject line: "COC: Art, Awareness, and the Love of Pets" – [Your Name]." Attach image, sizes and all required materials and include any special installation instructions if applicable.
Additional Information:
Accepted artists are responsible for delivering and picking up their work from Gallery 66, 66 W Main Street, New Britain, CT 06051. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the artist. All artwork must be ready to hang or display. Entry fee $25 an addition $5 for second submission to be collected at at drop off. A commission of 20% will be retained by Gallery 66 on any sales made during the exhibition.
