What’s your favorite historical USA small town?? I love finding small historical towns to explore. It brings history to life to see how people lived in the 1700 and 1800’s.

Siena, this view is from the top of the duomo. It’s 44 flights up a very small staircase, but the view is worth it. Just a quick tip, you have to purchase a ticket to enter the duomo or go to the top. The long lines you see are people that already have a ticket.

Iceland, lovely view near Thingvellier. This was a summer day, the colors in the water are beautiful. People use lots of superlatives to describe Iceland, I would say “peaceful “ reflects the mood The day I took this photo.

Icelanders say hidden people, fairies or elves place these stones in the tall stacks. 54% of Icelanders believe in fairies, do you? The history of Iceland was handed down in stories called sagas. They are showcased well in the Saga museum in Vik.

San Marino, it’s a country and a fabulous stop over if you are near Rimini Italy. It’s completely surrounded by Italy, but is its own country. The people are friendly, you can tour the old castle and everything is tax free! In the summer they have sangria $3.50 a glass , to-go at many of the outdoor restaurants!!!! I truly enjoyed my day wandering around,. Go for lunch or dinner, most of the restaurants have fabulous views since the country sits on a high hill
