Great news!

Nope, not an April Fools joke.

Today, the New Haven Police Department received official word from the Missouri Department of Public Safety that we have earned the Missouri Blue Shield designation for 2026.

This prestigious recognition honors communities that are leading the way in reducing crime, building strong community partnerships, and prioritizing public safety.

This reflects the continued hard work and dedication of our officers, and the support of everyone who calls New Haven home.

Along with this designation comes a $50,000 grant for training and equipment, allowing us to strengthen public safety in New Haven without increasing the budget.

Thank you, Governor Mike Kehoe and DPS, for this honor and your partnership. We're proud to be a Missouri Blue Shield community.
