So much JOY found in this journey! A fabulous week teaching the “Roma” children in their tiny village in Transylvania at the Agape Center, built and run by FFR, Firm Foundations Romania! A very special time holding those sweet babies in the Orphanage/ Hospital in Braşov, as well.

“The Getaway Girls plus 2” departed Newark and arrived in Romania via Vienna. It was wonderful to see our B&B hosts once again, Simon and Angie from Casa Bertha! A wonderful dinner at Alte Post Gasthaus and now time to stretch out in a real bed!

More fun days touring the Buda side of Budapest, the Buda Castle, wonderful lunches and dinners, feasting on Chimney Cakes, a train trip to the beautiful town of Szentendre, and an evening Champagne Cruise on the Danube.

Getaway Girls are back in Budapest for the Christmas Markets! Hope you find joy in our journey! A very busy first day with a Tasting Tour of the Central Market, yum, enjoying traditional Hungarian foods at lunch, a classic Hungarian coffeehouse, with delish pastries, and a tasting of local Hungarian wines. Then after some downtime, off to the famous Budapest Opera House for a grand tour and dinner at Budapest’s oldest Christmas market at Vorosmarty Square.
