I came across the idea of the “Main Street Theory” today, and I have to admit…it got me. 🥹🏰✨

I’ve always known there was something about walking into Magic Kingdom and seeing that castle that just feels different — especially as an adult.

And maybe it’s because Disney isn’t really about trying to feel like a kid again.

Maybe it’s about getting a break from everything that comes with being an adult.

For a little while, I’m not thinking about work, emails, bills, laundry, schedules, what needs to get done tomorrow, or which kid needs to be where. 😂

I’m just walking down Main Street with my family, hearing the music, looking at the castle and probably already thinking about what snack we’re getting first.

I can get way too excited about a ride I’ve been on a hundred times.

I can wear the ears.

I can eat the Mickey-shaped food.

I can stay for the fireworks even though my feet hurt.

And somehow, none of it feels silly there.

I think that’s part of why I love Disney so much — and probably part of why I love planning Disney trips for other families too.

Life moves ridiculously fast. Our kids grow up ridiculously fast. There aren’t many places where you can shut out the real world for a little while and just be completely present with the people you love.

As kids, we believed Disney was magic.

As adults, I think we understand just how rare it is to find a place that lets us forget everything else and simply have fun together. ❤️

So yes…I will absolutely still get emotional walking under that train station and getting that first glimpse of the castle. 😂😭🏰

Apparently the prescription is simple:

They are staying at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside in a preferred room! These awesome preferred rooms are close to Sassagoula Steamboat Company, Dining, Shopping and Transportation!

Not only do they have outstanding rooms, but they can walk right over to Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter and grab some yummy beignets or take a short boat ride over to Disney Springs for more shopping/food!
