Film Louisiana President Jason Waggenspack joined WWL-AM's Tommy Tucker to highlight a rising trend: independent feature films are actively seeking Louisiana as their destination, citing strong interest and inquiries over the past few months.

Waggenspack explained, "In the last couple of months, a lot of independent films have come to our state and asked how they could get set up. I think we're going to see an influx of those sorts of projects here."

Beyond the smaller-scale productions, Waggenspack remains optimistic that this wave of independent films will act as a catalyst, encouraging bigger studio projects to return to "Hollywood South." With smart incentives and seasoned industry infrastructure, Louisiana remains a competitive, filmmaker-friendly region.
