The sun was just rising over Jackson Square when Susan, one of our veteran guides, began her tour. She painted the air with stories — of jazz musicians who changed the world, of Creole families who built a culture like no other, of resilience after the storms.

Her guests didn’t just hear history — they felt it. That’s the magic of a New Orleans tour guide.

But this magic doesn’t happen by accident. It takes training, research, and a deep commitment to preserving the truth and beauty of our city’s past. That’s where you come in.

This GiveNOLA Day, your gift to the Tour Guides Association of Greater New Orleans will:

- Support professional development for local guides
- Fund preservation of our city’s unique stories and traditions
- Ensure future generations hear the authentic voices of New Orleans

📅 GiveNOLA Day is May 5. Early giving is April 28 - May 4.

👉 Donate now: Click Here to Donate to TGAGNOI: https://www.givenola.org/organization/Tour-Guides-Association-Of-Greater-New-Orleans

- Every dollar you give today will help keep our city's stories alive tomorrow.

From the French Quarter to the Garden District, every corner has a story. With your help, we’ll keep telling them.

With heartfelt thanks,

Tour Guides Association of Greater New Orleans

GIVE NOLA DAY
EARLY GIVING STARTS TODAY, APRIL 28!

Every day, members of the Tour Guides Association of Greater New Orleans, Inc. share the magic, history, and culture of our city with visitors from around the world. This GiveNOLA Day, we invite you to stand with us. Your donation will help us:
- Provide high-quality, consistent continuing education for local guides,
- Support preservation of New Orleans’ unique history and traditions,
- Promote private, public and governmental awareness locally of the tour guide's role, and
- Establish a channel of communication between tour guides and the tourism industry.

Even a small gift can make a big difference in ensuring that the voices telling New Orleans’ stories remain strong and authentic. The Tour Guides Association of Greater New Orleans, Inc. was established in April of 1985 as a non-profit 501(c)(3)* organization. Mark your calendar: GiveNOLA Day is May 5. The yearly fee is $60 for a Full membership is $60 and $85 for the optional insurance, so if you are getting both, it would be $145, which is a reduction in price from last year! The price for an Associate membership is $40 and a Corporate membership is $100.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU WISH TO PURCHASE THE NFTGA INSURANCE, PAYMENTS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN THURSDAY, JANUARY 29.

Information about the NFTGA tour guide insurance can be found on our website: https://www.tourguidesnola.org/2026-nftga-insurance-faq

Why Insurance Matters:
Even careful guides can face unexpected accidents - a guest tripping, a broken item, or a venue claim. Often guiding activities are excluded from other non-commercial insurance policies one might have, leaving personal assets at risk in the unlikely event of a guide being named in a lawsuit. Having this protection provides peace of mind and professional credibility as a guide works independently or under contract.

Thank you and we hope to see you soon!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at [email protected]. One of our board members will reach out to you.
