Want to experience a real New Orleans' neighborhood event? Treasures from the Point, is a neighborhood wide sale in Historic Algiers Point, the second oldest neighborhood. Over 100 households will be participating this weekend, April 11-12, 2026, with several very talented artists selling their works. Come on over, take the Canal Street Ferry, stroll our picturesque neighborhood, eat great food Barracuda Taco Stand Tout de Suite Coffee House and Cafe Congregation Coffee Roasters Nighthawk Napoletana, grab a drink at Crown and Anchor, Old Point Bar or Rice Vice. Gentle reminder, the knife stays IN the box! One of the best things about Carnival is having King Cakes. Carnival has very few “rules” but one of them is the knife stays in the box with the King Cake. You have to be able to walk by, cut a small slice, and move on!
