Albion’s Heritage Product Manager, Karen, enjoyed a tour of Highgrove Gardens with a cream tea yesterday.

She met with the head guide, Patsy, to talk about how to make the experiences for our guests a ‘Royal Standard’. There are so many different elements to the King’s private gardens that it was hard for Karen to pick a favourite, but seeing the treehouse where the young Prince’s played and smelling various scents from the roses and herbs were personal highlights. 🌸

King Charles III opens his gardens to the public to raise money for the Prince’s Trust Foundation, which helps young people get a good start in life.

Photos of the gardens themselves are prohibited, so if you want to see (and smell) them yourself, join us next August for the For King & Country: An Exclusive Royal Celebration tour.

And yes, the cream tea was as good as it looked! 🍰

We're celebrating Tredegar House today, the National Trust's jewel in south Wales. It is not only a stunning stately home, packed with fascinating architectural and decorative features, but the gardens surrounding the property move effortlessly from formal, manicured lawns, to an impressive lake, home to ducks and swans galore, before eventually moving on to wild woodland, as nature encroaches the edges of the estate. A great place to while away a few hours, and we look forward to future visits.

These magnificent gentlemen can be found at Hartwell House Hotel where they guard the staircase in their own, unique fashion. This historic house hotel has a fascinating history and a charming, Gothic style. It is one of our favourite hotels in the UK.
