We are thrilled to share this fun opportunity with our community!

This Culinary Bouquet Class will guide participants through creating thoughtful kitchen bouquets that are not only beautiful, but useful in fresh healthy recipes, also provided. Participants will have an opportunity to tour our district greenhouse and raised bed gardens where food is grown locally for our school meals.

School’s out for summer, and there’s no better way to kick off vacation than with us this Memorial Day Weekend! Escape down the river for The Sandbar’s First Annual Summer Bash — a full weekend packed with fun, food, and fantastic live music. Let the kids play in the sand while you kick back with an ice-cold drink in your hand.🏝️✌️🍔🍸

The music starts Friday afternoon with Nashville musician and songwriter Doc Hearl, bringing your favorite Classic Blues, Southern Rock, R&B, and Country hits to the stage.💃🕺

Saturday keeps the party rolling with McKenzie Claire Knapps. You may remember her from VH1’s I Know My Kid Is a Star, but after realizing nothing compares to home, this Louisiana native is coming back to her roots and dusting off those cowboy boots.💃🕺

Closing out Saturday night is Whiskey Row Band, delivering rowdy Southern Rock and Red Dirt Country. Loud, gritty, and built for beer soaked nights and packed out throwdowns, they’re guaranteed to keep the energy high.💃🕺

Sunday kicks off with Zachary McClain and Nouveau Soul, blending the rich heritage of South Louisiana with regional influences, old soul, and contemporary sounds.💃🕺

Continuing on later Sunday afternoon is Blue Crab Redemption, an Indie/Alternative Rock band out of Baton Rouge pushing the boundaries of music with a fresh, original sound.💃🕺

Wrapping up the weekend on Monday is Issy. A indie/alternative rock band from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. With soulful, blues-inspired vocals and rock instrumentation, Issy delivers a sound that’s both nostalgic and fresh. Drawing inspiration from artists like Janis Joplin, Steely Dan, and Amy Winehouse, the band brings a genre-blurring style that captures the spirit of raw emotion and rock ’n’ roll grit.

DJ Tuke will be keeping the party alive late into the night spinning your favorite records Saturday and Sunday starting at 10pm.
