Welcome Aboard

Set sail from beautiful uptown New Suffolk into picturesque Cutchogue Harbor. Ocean winds softened by Great Peconic Bay and warmed by Robins Island propel the Polar C, a 1996 32 foot Catalina, towards your sailing destination.

Will that destination be a two hour sunset cruise around Robins Island or will it be a trip down bay to Historic Greenport, home to large sailboats visiting large sail ships?

Lunch or dinner can be served onboard or ashore for full or half day sailing trips. Picnic lunches are welcome for two hour trips. Swimming and snorkeling are a must. Visit the sluiceway, when the tide is running. It is a natural waterslide!

You can sit back and relax or be part of the crew. Learn hot to tie lines, raise sails and adjust the sheets. Memories that will last forever.

Come sail with us and feel the breeze on your face and enjoy the quietness in your ears. For a time that you will truly remember, take a sail on the Polar C.

ABOUT THE POLAR C

The Polar C is a 1996 Catalina 32 foot. It has a large cockpit (8′) which seats 6 people. There are two end seats, one on each side of the cockpit that we like to call the “catbird seats.” In these seats you’re in the action but out of the way. The view is great because you are sitting high and outside with a line of sight that is unobstructed.

Wide decks go forward with safety rails to hold onto. Listen to the waves splash on the bow as relaxation takes over.

Down below in the main cabin there is a fully equipped galley (kitchen) with a refrigerator and propane gas stove and oven. Polar C sleeps 7 with a 2 cabin arrangement. The head (toilet) has a hot shower as does the rear swim deck. In the aft cabin is a queen size berth with 3 windows that open and a cedar clothes locker.

At the rear of the boat is a state-of-the-art swim platform with two molded seats. When the boat is anchored, relax by swimming, snorkeling or going to the beach in the inflatable boat. For entrance, a [4 foot] stern ladder drops down for easy access. When you have had enough of the water, rinse off with warm fresh water on the sun deck.

The Polar C has full electronics to make your cruise a safe and enjoyable one. The wind instruments make your passage a fast one.

For that special occasion, birthday, anniversary or wedding, take a sail on the Polar C and invite your friends to a catered affair at the Polar Charters Club. The facilities are 1600 sq. ft. with banquet tables and cathedral ceilings in a nautical atmosphere.

When your “special someone” returns you can have a surprise party to make a truly memorable day into a truly memorable experience.
