Mahbee caagic!
Yesterday was the last day for our youth workers at our Tourism Department. A big thank you to North Segment and Dr Monica Mayer for our assistance this past summer. Thank you Nathaniel and Lexi for all that you did with this program. Our hope and intention is that Oaklee, Kade, and Jessa got something out of this experience, where they can apply it to future employment.
Jessa left early last week for band camp down in Oklahoma (no lies haha)
Thank you Jessa for opening the store and working on wknds. Thank you Kade and Oaklee for assisting us at the earthlodge village and with cultural dance performances.
All three of our youth workers have a bright future, and we at the tourism office, are glad to be a part of that.
Yesterday we had a staff meal to honor our workers for their commitment and dedication-Better B's!
Gary is giving the boys some good words of advice here in this pic. He told them, "if you are supposed to be at work at 9 am, and you get there at 9 am, you're late. Get to work 10-15 minutes before your time, so you can get yourself and your work area ready". Jason reminded the boys to ask questions. "If you want to learn our culture, ask questions. That is the only way you are going to learn our ways of dance, songs, and language"
On behalf of Jason Morsette , Gary Snow , Tanner LoneBear-Smith , Wesley Snow , Jolene Whitman and myself, thank you Oaklee, Kade, and Jessa. Have a great rest of the summer.
