Day 3.... started at Animal Kingdom and ended at Epic Universe. It was an amazing day. Last year when we came to Epic we didn't get on Mine Cart Madness and my son has been talking about it ever since so we made that a priority for him today. He was so happy to ride it and it rose to his expectations. We also tried some amazing food today.. The cookie dough and brownie ice cream sandwich at Animal Kingdom and the Chicken Spire Mac and Cheese cone at Epic's Isle of Berk hit the mark!

Day 2 … we slept in a little. Then made our way to Epcot. We had a great day riding every ride here, enjoying the extra hours we got for being a deluxe resort guest. We drank around the world and plus purchased a snack for every country we were in which we will enjoy at some point this week or when we get home and enjoy the fireworks. We ended our night with our favorite ride, Guardians of the Galaxy; Cosmic Rewid. And we got a new song this time, September.

Day 1... We woke up and had complimentary breakfast at the hotel we stayed at by the airport, the Ramada suites, before getting an Uber to our Disney resort, at the Grand Floridian Resort. My husband and oldest son played a round of golf at the Palm course and my younger two and myself went to Blizzard Beach to enjoy the complementary waterpark day, which is the current promotion for day of check-in.

Our room was eady and we unpacked then had some pool time at the resort before getting ready for dinner at Citricos.

We saw the Electrical water pageant from our balcony and also saw the movie playing tonight, Moana.

It was a nice slow paced day before the park day happen.

Made it to Orlando!!!

Tonight we are staying by the airport, since we got in late, so we can check into the Grand Floridian tomorrow and take advantage of the free water park admission on day of arrival.

Here's a way to save some money on your spending on your next Disney trip…

I go to BJ's (Costco has them too) to purchase discounted Disney gift cards and use an airline credit card to purchase them. I was able to save about $20 per $500 gift card plus I'm getting miles that I can use on a flight in the future.

I'm leaving in 8 days and I was able to get my family of 5 flights to Orlando with miles I've accumulated and now I'm earning even more miles, which will save me even more money in the future by purchasing these gift card with my airline card.

You can use these Disney gift cards at time of purchase or you can use your MagicBand and have it charged to your room. If you are charging to your room, you will need to go to the front desk and they will apply the Disney gift cards to your balance. Apply them every night, if possible, just so your card on file does not get charged before they are applied.

Day 3...

We started our day grabbing some coffee and poffertjes (tiny pancakes you can find all over). We then headed to the De Pijp neighborhood of Amsterdam where we tried a fun cheese bar, visited the Albert Cuyp Market to try Rudy's Stroopwaffle (which are said to be the best) then headed to the Van Gogh Museum.

We went back to the hotel to pack before walking around and stumbled upon a restaurant filled with locals and was really good. We then walked around Damstraat. We ended the night with some bar hopping.

Day 4...

We woke up early and got to the airport for our flight home. I just got home and had an amazing time!

Day 2 we started our day with an excursion to the countryside to see the windmills, visit beautiful towns, try some cheese and see how clogs were made. After the excursion we visited the De Wallen neighborhood and enjoyed some shopping and drinks before heading to dinner at a great Italian restaurant close to our hotel. We had a fun day and night!

Day 1....

We were lucky to get our own rows on the flight from Newark to Amsterdam so we were all able to lay out and get some sleep on the way there.

We made it to our hotel, Hotel NH Collection Amsterdam Flower Market, early and with paying a fee were able to get a room immediately which was nice to be able to unpack and know that was done before starting our day.

We stopped and got some coffee, breakfast and groceries then we starting to really walk the city. We visited the flower market, the Jordaan neighborhood and then got to the Anne Frank Museum. These tickets sell out everyday. We booked them 2 months in advance and were lucky to get them. It was sad but a wonderful experience to have.

We grabbed a snack, some traditional bitterballen and then got an a 1 hour canal cruise. After the cruise we grabbed dinner and then headed back to the hotel. It was an early night, but needed since we were on minimal sleep.
