Today was a pool day before heading to the airport and getting back to NY.

This was my first Spring Break trip to Orlando so here are some tips….

Use Mobile Ordering! We saw massive lines of people waiting for food. With Mobile order we just went to the pick up window and the food was ready saving a lot of time. Universal and Walt Disney World both have this as an option.

Utilize the Early Park Admission. We got 3 popular the rides done during the first hour before all guests were allowed access into the park. Then when they were all going on these rides when first getting there we had lesser waits at other attractions. Again, Universal and Walt Disney World both have this as an option for onsite resort guests.

Take a break during the day. It gets hot this time of year. Sit in an air conditioned areas or go back to the hotel and just relax to give yourself a break.

Get to MCO early! This was the longest wait times I’ve seen in a while, or ever, for both TSA and food. We have precheck so TSA wasn’t bad at all for us but the regular lines was a 45 minute wait today. For food, we waited about 30 minutes to order and get our food at the food court.

Today we slept in and then went to Volcano Bay. This was our first time here and it was great. It is a huge water park and is well themed with a lot of different water slides and some great food!

Cabana Bay has a private entrance to Volcano Bay, which is a great perk of staying here. Tapu Tapu is a good system. They have your pick a ride you want to wait for and enjoy the rides with no wait time, the wave pool, or lazy river during the wait. We got alerted when it was our time to ride then when done could pick another ride to wait for. Our favorite today was the Krakatau Water Coaster. This was a new experience for us all.

After the water park we walked back to the room to shower before heading to City Walk. We had a delicious dinner at Cowfish, tried out Universal’s Great Movie Escape and got some Voodoo Donuts.

Now we are in bed watching some Harry Potter! This was a very short trip but we had a lot of fun and some more to squeeze in tomorrow before our flight.

Today we took advantage of the Early Park Admission for staying at a Universal Orlando hotel so we we took the first bus at 7a, for a 8a opening time and we stayed until close at 10a. We bounced back and forth between the 2 parks, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure and had a lot of fun!

What I will say about Universal is their child swap system is amazing! My almost 10 year old is not a lover of coasters so with the big ride he didn’t want to do we all stayed together for the majority of the line then at the end would seperate for for the ride and meet back up at the designated child swap areas. Many had TVs, seat and water fountains in an air conditioner area so thought this was amazing.

We enjoyed so many rides, saw some characters, watched the parade and enjoyed some different food today. We are ending the night with some pizza from the Bayliner Diner at our hotel, before showers and bed.

Booked a last minute Spring Break trip to Universal Orlando with 2 of my kids. We landed at 7p and are all checked into our room at Cabana Bay and will be here until Friday. I am beyond exhausted because I worked last night so am on no sleep. I am adding room pictures from the tour I did here years ago but the room is the same. We actually got an upgrade to a family suite so we all have our own bed because these rooms fit 6. Stay tuned for the updates over the next few days!

Today we went to the Palace of Versailles with a guided tour with bus transfers from Paris. I love having a tour guide to give great information you may not have know otherwise. It was a longer excursion and we had free time during it too, so we got some lunch to enjoy in the garden. After getting back to Paris we checked out the Arc de Triumph and Champs Élysées before heading back to start packing since we leave early tomorrow. Later we headed to Montmartre to see Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre and their amazing views and have some gelato and dinner. Now it’s time to say goodnight to this amazing city I have fallen in love with. Sad to leave tomorrow but so happy for all the experiences here. We made it to Paris early this morning and we didn’t get much sleep at all. Despite all that we had a day. We took the train from the airport to Paris and did some shopping, dropped our bags off, unpacked, had some food and took in the views. We ended our day going to the top of the Eiffle Tower! Which was amazing! Now I am off to bed to rest up for the fun tomorrow!

I would just like to take a moment to thank you all for an amazing 2024! I surpassed my previous best year of sales by over $160K this year. I got to travel to some amazing destinations, and your bookings are what help my travel dreams come true!

Since this was a last minute choice we chose to sit at the bar at Summer House for brunch, which is first come first serve seating. I ate dinner here over the summer and loved it so was excited to try brunch. The apps were by far my favorite. We loved the jalepeno corn bread and deviled eggs! Definitely put this restaurant on your list of ones to try!
