Travel Advisory: Qatar Airspace Reopens, Delays Continue

Qatar’s airspace has reopened following a temporary closure on Monday evening due to regional security concerns. While flight operations have resumed, passengers should expect continued delays and disruptions through June 26.

Qatar Airways has announced that travelers with upcoming flights can change their travel dates without penalty through July 15, 2025. For those who no longer wish to travel, cancellation fees are being waived and refunds are available for the unused portion of the ticket.

The airline is working closely with regional airports and authorities to restore operations and assist affected passengers. However, delays and diversions remain in effect due to the backlog of impacted flights.

As of June 23, 2025, the State of Qatar has officially suspended all air traffic in its airspace as a safety precaution due to regional developments.

If you are flying with Qatar Airways or transiting through Doha, please check your flight status immediately and confirm any potential changes with your airline.

This temporary closure may also affect routes that typically pass through UAE airspace, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
