Living in NYC, one often crosses paths with the famous. And usually I leave them in peace. But when I spotted on Court Street, Brooklyn., I couldn’t help myself. “Aren’t you the Clock Twink?” He confirmed he was, apparently recognizing the affection nickname for his character, Jack Treacher. He was very warm and polite and graciously agreed to a selfie. He’s not so twinky in real life. But we all look like twinks next to Railroad Daddy, Morgan Specter. I forgot to quiz him for season 4 intel. Next time.

Celebrity sighting not guaranteed, but also not rare. My walking tour guests got a twofer on Friday, crossing paths with Amy Schumer, then NY Giants QB, Russell Williams (). The footballer couldn’t have been more gracious and friendly, and even posed for a selfie. He was filming something with the NYPD.

Honored to host a handful of Jane’s Walk attendees last night and discuss the legacy of Jane Jacobs, and the many ways her legacy manifested in the redevelopment of Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood in the last 25 years. Organized by Municipal Arts Society (), New York hosts the largest collection of such walks. Check out their page, many slots are still available through Sunday evening.
